Note: this SSH client's encryption support is too old to connect to new versions of the OpenSSH server, and its File Transfer client does not support paths containing parentheses. PuTTY or WinSCP can be used as an alternative.

Options - see ssh:connect/3 Starts an interactive shell to an SSH server on the given Host. The function waits for user input, and will not return until the remote shell is ended (e.g. On exit from the shell).
- On Mac or Linux, run the touch command while in the boot directory to create a blank ssh file: touch shh. Safely remove or eject the card from the computer and insert it again in your Raspberry Pi. Boot up Raspberry Pi. Every time you turn on the Pi board, the device looks for the ssh file. When the device finds the file, then SSH is enabled automatically.
- Enable SSH on a headless Raspberry Pi (add file to SD card on another machine) For headless setup, SSH can be enabled by placing a file named ssh, without any extension, onto the boot partition of the SD card from another computer. When the Pi boots, it looks for the ssh file. If it is found, SSH is enabled and the file is deleted.
- An SSH Tunnel is working like a VPN. When you connect to the internet through an SSH Tunnel, your connection will be fully encrypted. So no one can see what you are doing on the internet and where you are going. And it hides your real IP and Geolocation from the world. For use ssh tunnel you may need a tunneling app like Putty, Bitvise etc.

Install Notes
- Download the file sshsecureshellclient-3.2.9.exe. Save it to an easily accessible place (your Windows desktop is a good choice).
- Start the installation by double-clicking on sshsecureshellclient-3.2.9.exe in Windows Explorer.
- When the installation is complete, double click on the Desktop Icon to start the program. NOTE: The installation places 2 SSH icons on your desktop (or location where you saved it). Double click the yellow folder titled SSH Secure File Transfer.
- Once you reach the SSH window click Quick Connect.
- Enter the host name (typically this is sftp.wm.edu).
- Enter your username.
- Port Number is 22.
- Authentication Method is Password.
- Click Connect.
- When prompted with pop up windows, click OK, then enter password.
- Your computer files are located on the left side of the SSH window and the William & Mary files are located on the right side of the window.
